Team Carabao(小水牛Phiphi的故事)

On March 8, 2026, my team leader held a special water buffalo birthday party in a seaside village in Zamboangita, Philippines. Not long ago, I donated a one-year-old female water buffalo to the Antonio family in a village in the Philippines. The children in the village organized a water buffalo party. We named this calf Phiphi (pronounced similarly to the first letters of the Philippines). Province of Negros Oriental, Philippines.

CERTIFICATE OF INTERNSHIP TRAINING and the local maritime rescue team will train her to become an animal ambassador for ecotourism—marine and space education.
She will also undergo typhoon and severe weather rescue training, becoming a capable assistant to the rescue team. For example, in the Brazilian Amazon, police use water buffalo as mounted police and rescue team members. In Zamboanga, a river that nourishes the mangroves flows from the mountains into the sea. I am discussing with the local community the development of water buffalo-guided kayaking eco-tourism on this river. This will raise funds and provide more eco-tourism employment opportunities for the community and education. Water buffalo are a national treasure of the Philippines, symbolizing land, family, and the nation. With the rise of mechanization, more and more water buffalo are being slaughtered and sold as beef. Today, children are celebrating Fifi's birthday, symbolizing a new beginning for this water buffalo: she will be regarded as a family member and teammate for life. Through the story of this water buffalo, I have gained a deeper understanding of the profound cultural values of the Filipino people: resilience, diligence, and humility.
